The ERC has published a report which shows how ERC research is shaping our understanding of democratic challenges, covering topics like voting behavior, digital campaigning and disinformation. The extraordinary election year of 2024 presents an opportunity to assess ERC supported research on various facets of democracy. It assess how these studies can offer valuable insights to shape EU policies, aligning with the objectives outlined in the European Democracy Action Plan and the recent Defence of Democracy package.
